BlueCycle unites leading researchers, engineers, and science partners to advance practical, scalable, and science-driver solutions. From upstream nutrient prevention to in-lake restoration to HTL-360 full-cycle waste transformation, our integrated systems work together to improve water quality, recover valuable resources, and build a more resilient BlueCycle Economy for communities across Florida and the U.S. At its core, BlueCycle is committed to innovation, measurable performance, and solutions that restore ecosystems while creating long-term environmental and economic value.
Daniel J. Levy is the Founder and President of BlueCycle Technologies, an innovative environmental consulting firm redefining how nutrient-impacted waterways and waste streams are restored, recovered, and reused. With more than 35 years of experience, Dan has led the creation and deployment of breakthrough technologies for Harmful Algae Blooms (HAB) mitigation, nutrient recovery, sediment management, and Waste-to-Energy systems. He holds patents related to nutrient recovery and sediment dredging, including the award-winning Hydronucleation Flotation Technology (HTF) for algae harvesting. Dan founded BlueCycle to advance a blue-circular blue economy, to – one that transforms today’s environmental liabilities into tomorrow’s legacy.
Dr. Tammy Karst-Riddoch is Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer at BlueCycle Technologies, where she leads scientific strategy, monitoring design, and performance evaluation for nutrient recovery and water restoration projects. A paleolimnologist and aquatic scientist with more than 20 years of experience, Tammy specializes in nutrient dynamics, sediment-water interactions, and ecosystem response to restoration. Her expertise at BlueCycle ensures that innovative technologies are scientifically rigorous, measurable, and trusted by regulators, municipalities, and funding agencies.
